About Us
We're a bunch of beer afficionados from in and around Los Angeles. Whatalesyou.com was started in late 1998 from an idea our founder, Dale Lauterback, had. In his quest to learn all about beer and brewing he had amassed a database over the previous several years that detailed all sorts of beer and beer related information. He had originally intended this to be a resource for friends, or possibly a CD-ROM project. We convinced him to put it on the web.

We've found that beer is a universal joy- we're always meeting new friends because of whatalesyou.com, in our travels in Europe or backpacking in Big Sur California. Thanks for being a part of our extended family.
